Operation Midway Blitz is inflicting horrible violence on Chicago's

Dora's story is one of community, hope, and resilience—three things that the people of Chicago desperately need right now.

We need help paying for Dora's journey from Tucson to Chicago.

On the mornings of December 7th & 8th, Dora will hold discussions surrounding her new book, Dora: A Daughter of Unforgiving Terrain. For the last several months, she has been talking to groups around the US, and it's time that Chicago gets a turn! This is also an opportunity to fundraise for Salvavision, Dora's non-profit organization that provides aid and support to asylum seekers and those who have been deported.

And in the evenings of Dec 7th and 8th, we are calling on the community to come together and organize. There will be viewings of Borderlands (my capstone documentary of Dora's story in 15 minutes ) at Redtwist Theater in Edgewater. The film will be followed by talkbacks with Dora, discussions with rapid response and legal non-profit organizations, followed by an open floor filled with information booths with flyers, whistles, “Know Your Rights” cards, and more. All the proceeds from Pay-What-You-Can tickets will be donated to Dora's non-profit organization, Salvavision.
