CHGJJ Welcome back roll-a-than!!
Donation protected
Amazing CHGJJ community,
I know we’re all under different pressures and uncertainty during this crazy, weird time. One thing for sure is that we’re all impacted, albeit at different levels I am sure. If I’ve learned anything about this school, it’s how we help each other out when times get tough. Mazi and his team have built an amazing place (the nation of Mazi Heydary!) and we wanted to help out. *Mazi wanted me to be clear that he will take nothing of what we raise other than to distribute the funds accordingly to those impacted.* By keeping our memberships, we’re doing a lot already and I am so thankful that so many have been able to do this.
Keep in mind, these folks didn’t ask for us to do this, we just want to show them how much we care and want to help.
Here’s the idea...
We’re going to do a fundraiser after this is all over, but raise the money for it starting NOW.
There is a small group of us that will sponsor a roll-a-thon (also a Train for Life “badass” class on the same day) with all our instructors present to give advice/give us those beatings we so miss on a Sunday after this is over. We will purchase a ton of gifts that people will win throughout the day. For anyone that donates whatever they CAN (no minimum), we will assign you a number prior to the event. Throughout the 3-4 hour roll-a-thon we will have plethora of prizes. Private boxing and jiu jitsu lessons, gi’s, rash guards, t-shirts etc... we will make sure to have a ton of amazing prizes as a way of saying thank you!
We figure since people will be ready to “roll” more than ever due to the time away from the mats this can have an amazing turnout.
So here’s what we’re asking from each of you:
1. Give what you can to support this cause!!
2. If you’re ok including your name with the donation on go fund me, please do so we can assign you a number. If you prefer to be anonymous, private message me so I can assign you one. Remember, there’s no minimum donation required!
3. Our goal is to raise appx $14,000 which can cover around two months of lost income due to this virus. Sounds like a lot, yes, but whatever we do will be a big help!
4. Day is to be determined as we don’t know how this will play out, but when our health experts and Mazi give us the green light, we will make it happen.
In my best Mazi voice, “are you with me!?!?”
