Hey everyone!
This year, my partner and younger brother Josh & Will are taking on a massive challenge: The Chester Half Marathon on 17th May! They’re not just running for fun; They’re doing it to raise vital funds and awareness for Endometriosis UK, a charity close to our hearts.
Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the womb lining grows in other places, like the ovaries and fallopian tubes. It affects 1.5 million women and those assigned female at birth in the UK, often causing chronic pain and fertility issues. It's an invisible illness that many people don't know enough about, and the charity provides crucial support and information to those affected.
In 2022, after three years of repeated hospital admissions, I was diagnosed privately with endometriosis — making me one of the lucky ones.
Endometriosis is truly life-changing. Living with chronic pain and fatigue while constantly fighting for appointments and medication due to limited specialist knowledge and general awareness is exhausting.
I’m sharing my journey to raise awareness of endometriosis and to support others living with this often silent condition.
The boys have began their training today to prepare for the 13.1 miles. You'll probably see some sweaty training selfies and updates along the way! Your support will go so far to help this amazing cause.
