Deer Fence for Chester Community Garden

The "Growing Friends in Chester Municipality" project is seeking financial support to build a deer fence around 20 raised beds adjacent to Chester's Municipal Building. Our project offers individual beds to local residents and grows vegetables for the Foodbank, local schools, and the general public. We aim to provide opportunities for community interaction resulting in healthy, nutritious food for all.

Our produce yield has been dwindling in recent years due to the influx of deer in the village. We have a team of volunteer builders ready to get to work on the fence, but need help paying for materials. We appreciate any and all donations.

We are supported by the New Horizons for Seniors Program, and partner with Our Health Centre, St. Stephen's Parish, and Chester Municipality .

(Funds will be received by project coordinator Julia Creighton, and dispersed to the building team as receipts are catalogued.)
