Hi, my name is a Charles Palm. I am a Life Scout with Troop 513. I love chess and that started at Whitestone Elementary during Friday morning chess club. I was 5 years old. I played with my friends, my PaPa, on family vacations and Scout trips.

My Eagle Scout project is to bring chess to Whitestone Elementary, Winkely Elementary and Leander High School. I plan to do this by painting blue and white chess boards on concrete or asphalt. Donating life size chess pieces and checker pieces to each school.

The life size chess pieces are about 24 inches tall. This may be hard for K and 1st graders to move. This is why I also want to give them checker pieces.

I am using lane stripping paint to make the boards last as long as possible.

I need your help to fund these 3 chess boards. Your help will make a difference in two elementarys and one high school.

If you would rather not donate money, I am accepting items via donation as well. Please reach out to my mom and she will connect us for details on what I specifically need.

Thank you in advance for your help in helping me provide this opportunity to Leander ISD schools.
