WE HAVE A NEW HOME!

The Work We Do
The Cherry Hill Food Pantry has been providing food assistance to our South Jersey community for 13 years. We currently support over 2,000 people in nearly 700 households and we continue to accept new registrants every week. Our client base includes:
• Over 550 children under the age of eighteen
• Over 1,100 adults between the ages of 18 and 64
• Nearly 340 Senior Citizens
• Over 80 Veterans
Our clients include at-risk children, adults with various hardships, seniors and disabled individuals.
The groceries we distribute each week include meat, eggs, and dairy, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables, much of which is otherwise unaffordable or unavailable to our clients. In 2018 we distributed over 520,000 pounds of food to our clients in a mini supermarket-like environment, providing a dignified experience and a variety of selection.
The Pantry also provides guidance to Social Services and Health Screening.

Our Dilemma
For the past three years, our current landlord has graciously allowed us to lease their space for only the cost of expenses. However, our lease has ended and we have been forced to relocate. After years of saving and a lengthy search, we are glad to announce that we have purchased our permanent home! This facility will meet our long term requirements but is not without the need of renovations. That’s where your help comes in.
Your generous contributions will help us outfit this new space and make our ongoing mortgage expense.

How You Can Help
We are lining up estimates for the work we need to do. At this time we cannot set our ultimate goal. However, listed below are the issues we are addressing and notional budgets. We’ll update as information becomes available, but we feel it is important to get ahead of our needs. These estimates rely heavily on volunteer and pro bono labor.

Our interim goal is to raise $130,000 that will be used to:
• Outfit the new space, including:
o Demolition $4,200
o Build an Office & Storage $1,000
o Install new Double Doors $7,000
o Remodel Bathrooms $15,000
o Lighting upgrade $15,000
o Electrical Upgrade $10,000
o HVAC Repair $5,000
o Roof Repair $5,000
o Prep & Paint $2,880
o Install Flooring $6,375
o Outdoor sign $3,000
o Create a parking lot $35,000
o Walk-In Refrigerator $6,100
o Walk-In freezer $8,140
o Stainless Steel Utility Sink $477
o Commercial Faucet $86
o Pallet Jack, Heavy Duty $525
o Platform Cart, Heavy Duty qty 2 $840
o Misc $3,500
o Total $129,123

• Support the move of existing shelving, refrigerators/freezers, equipment, and inventory.
Any unused funds will be used for future mortgage payments and/or capital purchases such as refrigerators and freezers.

We know you have a lot of options about where to apply your support, so we ask you to consider the nature of our mission - to address the most basic of human needs, to feed our children and seniors and anyone in need, to alleviate hunger in our community. We are neighbors helping neighbors. We are a volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and now, for the first time in 13 years, we need your help to keep helping others. Please consider us as you contemplate your donation options.
Thank you.
