About Cheltenham Hackspace

Cheltenham Hackspace is a member run community workspace, we provide space and tools for our membership to build skills and connections as they work on their hobbies and interests. One of the tools we offer is access to a laser cutter. Historically this has been by far our most used tool, and attracts a lot of new members.

Our Goal

Cheltenham Hackspace needs your support to upgrade our laser cutting capabilities. Our current lasers are outdated - one doesn't work with anything newer than Windows XP (and has been gathering dust for years as a result), and the other is unreliable and slow. We plan to sell both to go towards funding a new, more powerful and more reliable laser cutter.

With your help, we can raise £5,000 which will enable us to purchase and maintain a 100W laser cutter featuring a 1000x600mm bed and compatibility with modern software - enabling faster engraving, cutting thicker material, and certainty that you are going to get the job done when you visit Cheltenham Hackspace. The more we raise, the better the specification we can afford, benefiting the entire local maker community.
