Dear Friends, Family & Kind Strangers,
As some of you may know, our wonderful sister-in-law Chelsea was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) last August at just 34 years old. She's a devoted mother to four young children and, incredibly, has kept a brave smile on her face while shielding her family from the full weight of this devastating diagnosis.
Chelsea is loved deeply by everyone who knows her. She’s the most amazing Mum, Daughter, Sister, Wife, and Auntie — the heart of her family.
Since her diagnosis, her husband Gary has become her full-time carer. Sadly, they do not own their own home, and every housing association they’ve approached has turned them away. There is currently no suitable housing or funding available to provide the essential adaptations Chelsea will soon need.
This has left them relying on private rentals, which are not only expensive but also limit their ability to make the changes necessary for Chelsea’s care — like installing ramps, hoists, or accessible bathrooms. On top of this, they’ve had to purchase Chelsea’s wheelchair themselves, as the NHS was unable to provide one.
With four children to care for, the financial burden is overwhelming. If you’re in a position to help, any donation — big or small — would mean the world. Your generosity will go directly to Chelsea and Gary to help with daily living costs, equipment, and creating special family memories together while they can.
Any money left over will be put aside for their children's future.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and support.
