This is the source where you can contribute to the costs involved to continue supporting our recently laid-off ChefStable employees and their families with meals at our restaurants.
As you’ve seen all across the country, the hospitality community has been mandated to halt all dine-in service and here in Oregon we are experiencing an unprecedented amount of layoffs. We’ve felt this hard as we find nearly all of our ChefStable family unemployed. Each restaurant is taking generous efforts to feed their staff and their families. Those still operating with takeout and delivery are offering free meals to former employees. However, some of the properties have been forced to close as they are not able to adapt to a takeout/delivery-only model. This is where myself and ChefStable as a group want to step in. Prior to this unprecedented turn of events, within days, approximately 800 of our employees were laid off. We want to fill in the gaps where our properties can’t fulfill. We want to offer them FREE MEALS at some of the ChefStable restaurants that are still providing takeout service: XLB, Lardo, Grassa, Coopers Hall, and Oven & Shaker. In the event that takeout is shut down, funds will be allocated to grocery store credits for employees. While there will be endless funds needed to get our industry back on track, we want to provide support immediately. Funds from this campaign will solely cover the hard costs of food provided to our employees and their families. Any help will go a long way.
