Hello, my name is Wilson.
I am a graduating high school senior, who will be studying environmental molecular biology at UC Berkeley in the fall. I am passionate about wildlife conservation, and this summer I plan to travel to Namibia to intern with the Cheetah Conservation Fund. This page is to help me raise money to cover the cost of traveling and interning with CCF.

About the Cheetah Conservation Fund:
Founded in Namibia in 1990, Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) is the global leader in research and conservation of cheetahs. CCF is dedicated to saving the cheetah in the wild.
The vast majority of wild cheetahs are outside protected areas, in areas populated by humans. Saving this magnificent animal from extinction requires innovative conservation methods that address the welfare of both cheetah and human populations over large landscapes. CCF has developed a set of integrated programs that work together to achieve this objective. CCF’s programs have effectively stabilized and even increased the wild cheetah population in Namibia.
There are only 7,000 cheetahs left in the wild, occupying 23% of their historic range. They face threats including poaching, habitat loss, and illegal wildlife trafficking. To learn more about CCF and the work they do to protect cheetahs, visit cheetah.org
About Me:

Throughout high school, I have completed more than 1,000 hours of community service with a variety of animal related non profit groups throughout Santa Barbara County. I am involved with organizations including the Santa Barbara Zoo, Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History's Sea Center, Channel Islands Marine & Wildlife Institute, Help One Walk International, Santa Barbara Bird Sanctuary, and the Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network. I also collaborate with young conservation leaders from across the country as a part of the Sea World and Busch Garden's Youth Advisory Council.
The opportunity to intern with CCF this summer is a huge step towards my goal of working as a wildlife conservationist, protecting endangered species. I will have the opportunity to help with cheetah feeding, raise puppies, assist in clinical workups, collect and dissect cheetah feces, observe cheetah behavior, conduct field work and be involved in outreach and education programs.
