Every December, we come together for something that’s become one of the most important things we do, Cheers for Charity. It all started with a simple idea: our butty van keeps a lot of people fed and happy, so why not use it to help others too? Since 2018, for one week every December, all profits from the butty van goes straight to local charities. No admin fees, no deductions, just honest hard work turned into support for people who need it most.

From the very beginning, the kindness we’ve seen has been overwhelming. Our local community jumped in straight away and before long, people from all over the world who’d heard about The Turf wanted to be part of it too. That’s how the GoFundMe page came about, and here we are, three years on, continuing to grow something that started right here in Wrexham. Because of that generosity from those who visit us in person to those who support us from afar we’ve been able to help even more local causes each year. Last year’s donations helped support:

That’s what Cheers for Charity is really about. It’s not just raising money; it’s about showing what Wrexham can do when we pull together. If you can spare a donation, no matter the size, please do. Every bit helps us carry this tradition forward and reach even more people next year.
