Farewell to Cheekys – Help Support Sara & Irene ✂️
As many of you may have already heard, after more than 20 years of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories, Cheekys Hair Salon will sadly be closing its doors. This heartbreaking decision is entirely out of Sara and Irene’s control — and to say they’re devastated would be an understatement.
Over the years, their clients have become more like family, and this loss is deeply felt not just by them, but by the entire Ultimo/Pyrmont community. Despite the emotional and financial toll, Sara and Irene are working tirelessly in these final weeks to fit in as many clients as they can.
They want to say goodbye the way they’ve always done things: with love, care, and a good laugh (maybe a few tears too). ♀️❤️ But the reality is this closure also brings serious financial uncertainty for them both. That’s why we’ve set up this GoFundMe page — to not only raise much-needed funds but also to spread the word far and wide. Sara and Irene have given so much:
• Always made services affordable for seniors, pensioners, and students
• Donated their time and talents for local causes and fundraisers
• Offered their salon as a welcoming space for events and community connection
Now, it’s our chance to give back. If you can donate, please do — every little bit helps ease their stress as they work out their next steps.
If you can’t donate, a share goes a long way in raising awareness.
Still open Tuesday to Saturday — book in while you can. All salon items (products & furniture) are also for sale — feel free to make an offer.
