Chatham University GoBabyGo!
Donation protected
GoBabyGo is an organization that provides children with mobility deficits a modified ride on car, allowing for independent mobility. These modified cars allow children to socialize with more ease, leading to improved developmental growth, problem solving skills, self confidence, moving through space with more independence and improving social interactions with family and friends.
Chatham University’s Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy programs are both involved in GoBabyGo, hosting two events each year. We have an extensive waitlist of children with mobility deficits waiting for a modified car, costing approximately $400 each. We take pride in making personal alterations to each car, allowing the children to drive with the greatest amount of independence.
Despite the challenges we're facing due to COVID-19, we are still committed to providing cars to as many children as possible. Thankfully, we are able to host our events outside, allowing us to distribute and modify the cars with minimal contact. Typically, our fundraising consists of reaching out to local businesses and meeting with potential donors in person. This year, we have decided it would be best to fundraise via the internet in an effort to minimize face-to-face interactions.
100% of the donations we raise go to benefiting these children and their families by providing a modified car. Every contribution makes a difference and all of us here at Chatham University are grateful for your kindness!
