Update: Chase had his bone marrow test Friday morning (10/03/2025) nothing conclusive, except it’s NOT leukemia! Still waiting for more results! As of today, (10/04/2025) his AMC blood test levels dropped from 800 on Friday to 500 today.. basically his WBC is still really low and indicating he’s still fighting something, and he’s highly perceptible to any number of infections. They were hoping to leave tomorrow, Sunday (10/05/2025) but at this point, it’s highly unsafe. With the blood work having to be sent out and the employees off work for the weekend, everything is delayed to during the business week. Everything right now is a possibility or an idea the docs are hoping to eliminate, such as: possible HIV (due to a blood transfusion during the cesarean and ultimately passed through breast milk), a mouth ulcer his body is trying to fight, to an autoimmune disease. Until the business week, an ultrasound of the chest and CT scan are in probable thoughts. At this point, it seems to be daily blood tests and him being fully monitored. His fever hasn’t spiked in the last few days, which is a small victory in itself. I was unable to visit him today, due to a strict policy of minimal visitors. It crippled me, not being able to personally see him, or give him his gifts from his “Te-Te” and Uncle Chris… but we sent our undying love with his big sissy Addy, today!! We even spent a little while FaceTiming, while he ate and tried to share his kettle corn popcorn with me! Which brought joy and warmth through my heart!!! Thank you all for your warm wishes and heartfelt prayers and of course donations!!! My sister didn’t realize I started this GoFundMe, and when she did I could feel her warmth and probably quite a lot of a hit to her pride… but what’s sisters for, if I didn’t hit that pride a time or two? My nephew Chase and doctors are trying to fight an unknown illness at the Kings Daughters Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. They’ve been there almost 2 weeks now, fighting an unknown issue. Over a dozen blood tests, 2 MRIs, an ultrasound, different antibiotics, different treatments, and a bone marrow test scheduled for tomorrow… with all these tests and stays, there’s still no answers. With very minimal definitive answers to go on, the doctors have even reached out to other hospitals to share his case, with hopes of finding another patient like him. Nothing. It’s a complete anomaly.

I’m trying to help my nephew out in any way I can, and I suppose if I can help get some of the rising costs of all these tests and hospital stays covered, since he is currently without health insurance, and both of his parents are with him at the hospital, they are sacrificing their job for the sake of their son. No amount is too small, for the kindness of thoughts and prayers. Hopefully soon, they will have the answers and treatment for my sweet nephew Chase. He turns 2 next month! Help me, help him!!
