To those of you who know the Jacks, you know that they do not like asking for help, especially in this way. Their three-year-old little boy Charlie is suspected to have a disease called Aicardi-Gutierrez Syndrome.
This is an autoimmune disorder that attacks his nervous system. This disease typically has a very poor prognosis, however, Charlie’s case is atypical and they have hope. CHOP has the only specialist in this disease in the country. They are beginning testing for this disease tomorrow and it will require Katy and Charlie to stay in Philadelphia over the next 2-3 weeks.
They have spent more time in hospitals than at home and have missed countless hours of work and precious time with their 3 other boys.
All that being said the hospital bills and travel expenses are piling up, and at the end of the day they are parents to four beautiful boys and they have both been out of work trying to be with Charlie on this journey.
Talking about setting up a gofundme literally made Katy cringe, but they could really use support with this curveball that life has thrown their way.
The plane ride alone to get Charlie to CHOP cost $24,000 out of pocket.
Any little bit helps in keeping this family going during this difficult time.
If all you can do is share this link and keep it going for them it is much appreciated and thank you for taking the time to read and offer your love and support to this family.
