My name is Charlie Doucette. I’m a 17 year old senior at Manchester High School and a scout in Troop 27 in Manchester, CT. I am working on my Eagle Scout project. For my project I will be building a set of steps, a bridge, and developing trails and a map for the Wildlife Sanctuary area of Wickham Park in Manchester. The Wildlife Sanctuary is far from many other areas in the park and is not easily accessible by park guests. Because of this, the area is also not very well maintained. Many parts of it are overgrown and are commonly muddy. This project will improve accessibility and protect the environment of this area of the park so that it can be enjoyed by park guests while remaining a safe habitat for wildlife.
