We are Seth and Charlie, two students at Katharine Lady Berkeley’s School in Wotton-under-Edge, and we are excited to share that we have both been selected to undertake 12-month volunteering placements with the educational charity Project Trust, starting in September 2026.

Project Trust (www.projecttrust.org.uk) is one of the original youth volunteering organisations. It has been running for over 50 years and aims is to empower generations of young people to act as responsible and active global citizens.

Seth will be going to Ghana to teach STEM subjects in a rural school, while Charlie will be working in a secondary school near Santiago, Chile. Spending a year in each of these countries will allow us to immerse ourselves in all aspects of Ghanaian and Chilean life.

To be able to take up these exciting opportunities we each need to raise £7,450 to cover essentials such as training, flights, accommodation and emergency support.

To help raise this, we have organised a Secret Postcard Auction, to be held online 1st - 19th October.
