My name is Charlene, and in October 2026 I will be volunteering on a humanitarian mission trip to Indonesia, organised by Mission To Change in partnership with ADRA Indonesia .

I am raising £3,000 to directly support the communities we will be serving.

Monies raised will go toward practical materials, and essential resources that create real, lasting impact.

During our time in West Java and Bali, we will be involved in hands-on humanitarian work, including:

• Retrofitting homes to strengthen them against tropical storms

• Renovating a local school (painting, repairs, general DIY)

• Teaching English to local students

• Supporting a free charity medical clinic alongside doctors, nurses and dentists

• Participating in community agriculture projects

• Serving and building meaningful connections with local families

The Bible says in James 2:17,

“Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”

For me, this mission is faith in action.

I believe compassion should be practical.

When families live in homes vulnerable to severe weather…

When classrooms need repair…

When access to basic healthcare is limited…

Materials matter. Supplies matter. Support matters.

That is why I am fundraising.

The £3,000 goal will go directly toward:

• Building and renovation materials

• Educational supplies

• Supporting the charity clinic with essential resources

• Community-focused initiatives

• Travel

As it says in Proverbs 3:27:

“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.”

I want to arrive ready not only to serve with my hands — but to give in a way that continues impacting families long after we return home.
