On the 10th of July, I'll swim 1.5km, cycle 40km and run 10km at the Hamburg Triathlon for people with disability in our local area.
Three years ago, I started a bucket list book with 100 things I want to do, see, experience or learn. #43 in this book is to complete a triathlon, #32 on the list is to raise money in a fundraising campaign for a good cause.

Soo...I thought why not combine the two.
The project I'm supporting is run by the "Stiftung Lebensräume Ovelgönner Mühle ", a non-profit that has implemented many projects for people with disabilities over the last 30 years.
The funds are for a brand-new project of the organisation which tackles some of the biggest challenges in our society: healthy ageing, disabilities and inclusion. My granddad had a disability which wasn't always easy, so this topic is close to my heart.
The "Ovelgönner Mühle" is going to set up a retirement home for the seniors with disability in their care AND seniors without disabilities from the local village of Ovelgönne. Speaking of inclusion and tackling the age care crisis. This is a first-of-its-kind project so a lot of research and hard work has already gone into this and it will be amazing once its implemented.
Every $ counts for this project so THANK you to everyone who makes a donation.
Fun fact: I thought the Triathlon takes place end of September when I signed up. Turned out it was an outdated page and it takes place a lot earlier in July...meaning a lot less time to train. The struggle is real people! :D
Important note: If you wish to receive a receipt for tax deduction, contact me directly via Social Media or GoFundMe and you will be issued one.
THANK YOU!!
