Charity sleep out to promote awareness of homelessness!
Each year Manchester United hold an annual ‘sleep out’ where participants gather in the Old Trafford stands, swap their comfortable bed for a concrete floor in a sleeping bag, and spend the night sleeping outside to raise money for charity.
For the past two years, volunteers have together with the aim of promoting awareness of the issues surrounding homelessness and the ongoing challenges faced by young people across local communities, whilst also raising money for Manchester United Foundation and youth homelessness charity, Centrepoint. This year, we have been given an extremely special opportunity to add the Micheal Carrick Foundation to that list of charities and have been given just ten spaces to join the event.
They have asked a small number of representatives to take on this challenge and raise money on behalf of the foundation. Michael and Lisa would like to set a fundraising target of £750 per person, which is the cost to put three young participant through a Level 1 football qualification, providing them with their first step on a career pathway.
Date: Friday 15th November
Time: 19:00 til 07:00
