Charity skydive to raise money for GOSH

On 3 October 2026, my 71-year-old nan, my 16-year-old brother, and I will be jumping 15,000 ft from a plane to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.

Great Ormond Street Hospital is more than just a hospital to my brother and me, it has been a constant presence throughout our childhood.

As both inpatients and outpatients over many years, we’ve experienced first-hand the profound impact it has on children and families facing incredibly difficult times.

The care at Great Ormand Street goes far beyond medical treatment. The staff bring warmth, kindness, and reassurance in moments that can feel overwhelming. They don’t just look after patients, they support whole families, creating an environment where children feel safe, understood, and even hopeful.

What truly sets the hospital apart is the attention to every detail. During long stays, when days can feel uncertain and heavy, the hospital brings light and joy in ways that are unforgettable. There are activities, entertainment, and small moments designed to lift spirits, whether it’s games, creative sessions, or special events that give children something to look forward to.

And then there are the magical moments, like looking up and seeing superheroes cleaning the windows. It might seem like a small thing, but to a child in a hospital bed, it means everything. It brings excitement, distraction, and a reminder that even in difficult times, there is still room for joy and imagination.

These experiences don’t happen by accident. They are made possible through funding, generosity, and the dedication of people who believe that children deserve not just treatment, but care that nurtures their emotional wellbeing too.

Great Ormond Street has had a lasting impact on our lives, and we are incredibly grateful for everything it has given us.

By supporting this hospital, you are helping to continue that care for countless other children and families, providing not only world-class treatment, but moments of comfort, happiness, and hope when they are needed most.

Thank you so much for your support
