Hi, my name is Elizabeth Daw and I’m 16 years old. I plan to skydive for St Luke’s hospice Plymouth after their support and love towards me, my family and my mum during her last moments.
St Luke’s hospice Plymouth provides hundreds of patients and families a calm and welcoming space designed for families and patients to spend their last moments together content and happy. Without spaces like this many families with have to spend precious time in a hospital which for many is not a happy place.
This hospice means so much to me and my family as it was where both my beautiful mum and my grandad spent there last moments.
Unfortunately in October 2025 my mum passed away after a long battle with cancer. She was such a kind, gentle and beautiful soul who was loved by everyone.
She chose to spend her last few weeks in St Luke’s hospice Plymouth which was on the coast of Mount batten and had so many outdoor spaces for us to enjoy. The hospice provided me and my family a safe space to enjoy her last moments all together with people being able to visit and enjoy time with her all the way to the very end. Without St Luke’s our experience would have been extremely different and for that I am extremely grateful.
Therefore I would like to raise as much money as possible to help and support them just as they helped and supported me. I plan to take part in a skydive from 10,000ft in tandem. This is something I have always dreamed of doing and something my mum always wanted me to do therefore I feel this is the perfect opportunity to raise some money for the charity that’s helped us so much. Any support, promotion or donation towards this cause would mean the world. I appreciate everyone who has helped me throughout this journey.
