Hi my name is Cydney and I have organised a charity quiz night in honour of my Grandad Tony!

My grandad was diagnosed with asbestos-related mesothelioma in September 2010. At the time, we were told he had around five years to live. Nearly ten years later, he was still with us — fighting, loving, and being the incredible man we were so lucky to have — until he sadly passed away in February 2020.

He was one of the most amazing, kind, and loving souls I’ve ever known, and he loved every one of us dearly.

In his honour, I am organising this event to raise money for Mesothelioma UK. The funds raised help support vital research into treatments, specialist nurses who provide care and support, and essential end-of-life care for patients and families.
