Nepal Charity Expedition 2025

Hello!

My name is Anika. I am a year 12 student studying for my A levels at Trinity Academy Bristol.

You may already know I am passionate about volunteering & helping others where I can.

During my term as Bristol’s Youth Mayor I contributed hugely towards making a difference to our local community & beyond by representing youth voice & supporting charity events. I have continued some of this work with the Duke of Edinburgh Award & I have recently started to extend my support towards younger students with their learning & extracurricular activities.

Over the Christmas holidays, I enjoyed contributing towards Christmas concerts at my brother’s school & the local residential home by playing the flute & piano.

This was an honour; having the opportunity of sharing festivities with people who otherwise may not have felt festive during this special season.

I would now like to share with you my next incredible opportunity of volunteering in Kathmandu, Nepal with some of my school teachers & peers with True Adventure . I will be embarking on an expedition for two weeks in July 2025.

This group have hosted and supported more than 6000 students like myself to volunteer in global communities since 2006.

Whilst on our expedition we will be volunteering with the Pahar Trust to help to resource & prepare a new school for Nepalese children, establishing connections with the community & teaching some English to children there as well!

This week, as we all celebrate Christmas & New Year, may I ask you to spare a thought for these children & to ask for your donation for this invaluable cause.

The costs incurred for me to complete this expedition, however, are huge; even with the support of my family & friends alongside my own fundraising by selling clothes & toys to add to the fund.

I would really appreciate your kind donation & ask for your help towards the funding of this trip if at all possible. Any amount you are able to spare however small or large will make a significant difference to the lives of these children.

This fund will be able to cover everything I need & provide some support to the Nepalese communities. In contributing, you will be able to make a difference no matter how small or big a donation.
