Books should never be a luxury.

Why We're Here

Hi friends — we’re Chapter Bound.

What started as an online bookstore and pop-ups has grown into something much bigger than we ever imagined, and that’s because of you. Our community has shown up for us through purchases, encouragement, donated books, shared stories, and unwavering belief in what we’re building. We are deeply grateful.

From the very beginning, our mission has been simple:

To make books accessible — regardless of income, language, or background.

This fund exists because our community has asked how they can help us build something lasting — and because together, we can create access where it doesn’t yet exist.

What This Fund Supports

1️⃣ Launching Community Book Access Programs

Community access comes first. Always.

With the help of this fund, we will create and launch the following programs:

  • Free books for children and teens (ages 0–18)
  • A Pay-It-Forward community shelf
  • Direct-to-home book access for families
  • Bilingual & Spanish-language book access
  • Seasonal book drives (back-to-school & holidays)

These programs are not currently active — this fund is what makes them possible. Every contribution helps turn these ideas into real, meaningful access.

2️⃣ Creating a Permanent Community Hub

The second purpose of this fund is to responsibly open a Chapter Bound brick-and-mortar bookstore in the Palm Bay / Melbourne, Florida area.

This space will be:

  • A bookstore with affordable new and used books
  • A safe, welcoming place for families and readers — regardless of race, gender, income, or immigration status
  • A permanent home for free book access and community programming

This isn’t about opening fast — it’s about opening right, with the community involved every step of the way.

3️⃣ Growing Together, Step by Step

Rather than waiting for one final finish line, we’re breaking this goal into clear milestones so our community can see progress in real time.

As each milestone is reached, we’ll share updates and celebrate each step together.

The Wall That Built This Place — a community handprint wall where children and adults can leave their mark in support of literacy, access, and one another

This space will be built with our community — not just for it.

The Wall That Built This Place

We plan to create The Wall That Built This Place, a community handprint wall where both children and adults can add their painted handprint as a symbol of belonging and shared support.

Displayed alongside the wall will be the words:

“This Is Our Place.”

Over time, the wall will grow into a living mural — a visible reminder that this space exists because of many hands, many stories, and a community that chose to build something together.

It’s not just art.
It’s ownership.
It’s belonging.

Quiet Chapter Hours — Sensory-Considerate Reading Time

We also plan to intentionally offer Quiet Chapter Hours, designated sensory-considerate times for neurodivergent children and adults.

Quiet Chapter Hours are designed to be:

  • Lower-astimulation, quieter store hours
  • A welcoming environment for those sensitive to noise or crowds
  • A space where curiosity, conversation, and questions are encouraged — without pressure to “mask” or fit in

This is deeply personal to us. Neurodivergent readers deserve spaces where they can feel safe, seen, and free to be themselves. This will be a learning process, and we are committed to listening, adapting, and growing with our community.

Everyone deserves access to stories in a way that works for them.

Transparency & Gratitude

Chapter Bound is not a nonprofit, and donations are not tax-deductible. Funds are used exclusively for community book access programs and business costs directly related to opening and sustaining the bookstore.

We want to say this clearly: we would not be here without you!

Every share, every book donation, every kind message, every order — all of it has carried us to this moment.

Thank You

This isn’t about charity. It’s about access, dignity, and community ownership of stories.

Thank you for believing in us — and for helping us turn this chapter into something real.
