Change Theresa's Life!
Donation protected
8 months ago, Theresa's life changed forever. Funds donated will go to helping Theresa catch up on her bills/rent and help give these two beautiful boys, Carter & Peyton, the life they deserve!
This is Theresa's Story:
Theresa is one of the most selfless people on this planet and natural care giver. She has spent her life helping others, being a God Mother to many and spending much of her career as a Nanny.
Theresa's only sister past away 15 years ago, and while Theresa dedicated much of her free time to supporting her sister's son and his wife, they unfortunately fell onto hard times and drug addiction. As the selfless woman she is, Theresa continued to help care for her nephew's children as they stayed with the Aunt from the mother's side.
8 months ago it was determined that one of the boys was being abused and Theresa fought to receive full custody of both of the boys. The boys are only 3 and 6 years old.
She has always been an incredible worker and more than willing to take on extra shifts to take care of herself and those around her. However, all of her extra time is now dedicated to raising young Carter and making sure Peyton is getting the support he needs. After her car was unfortunately totaled, she spent all of her savings and credit to get a safe car to get to work and transport the boys. Unfortunately the snowball kept getting bigger; just before Christmas her Mom fell and got seriously injured. To make matters worse, her nannying hours started to get cut and she was unfortunately laid off at the beginning of the year. Now Theresa, a 57 year old single woman in a studio apartment, is raising two boys (3 & 6 years old), while also caring for her 83 year old mother that lives out of state, and searching for a new job with no car. In what seems like a split second, Theresa's life has completely turned upside down.

A message from Theresa
"One of the biggest changes has been my ability to work. All of my life, I have gotten by with help of friends and strangers but most of all, hard-work. Carter is only 3 years old and currently living with me; unfortunately Peyton, who is 6 years old and was abused, had a breakdown and is staying in a home for children with special needs. I am trying my best to find the right job that I can pay the bills, spend the time with Carter, and continue to get Peyton the help he need to get past this trauma. With your help, I hope to eventually have the resources to help Peyton and hopefully have him live with me and Carter full time.
I love Carter and Peyton and want to give them every chance to beat the odds that have been stacked against them in their few years on this planet. I visit Peyton as much as I can and hope to have him back soon. I love eating meals with the boys, and I love laying in bed with Carter at night, reading him stories till he falls asleep.
I have applied for almost every job out there and hope to stay in the nanny world because I love kids and my career as a nanny has been so rewarding. Unfortunately, time is running out as I am now 4 months behind on rent and my storage place will be auctioned off on March 7th. We have a court date on March 12th, where they may move us to a new level and require us to move to a bigger apartment.
The people in my life have been incredible; any other landlord would have already thrown me out but he is a true friend and has put his own finances in jeopardy to help us.
I have borrowed all I can and feel horrible that I haven't been able to pay back those who have helped.
All money donated will go to paying back my rent, clearing up storage, settling up with the credit card companies, and paying those back that have helped me to this point.
Sometimes even when you try your best and are doing the right thing, you just can't catch a break. I just want to do what is right for these boys and anything you can provide will be truly appreciated!!!"
Thank you and God Bless.
