After losing both parents, brothers Godfrey (14), Mose (11), and Dalitso (8) were left completely on their own. To survive, they collect plastic bottles on the streets—50 bottles just to earn MK1,000 (about $0.60)—enough for a little flour or to pay it all toward their rent. On bad days, they sweep up spilled flour from maize mills just to have porridge.

Dalitso, the youngest, is also suffering from a severe and worsening skin condition. Without medical attention, his condition continues to deteriorate.
