Meet King Easton Lane, aka Champ!
Champ was never supposed to be but God had another plan! Megan, Champ’s mother was having health issues and went to the doctor to discuss having a hysterectomy. During this process Megan and Ranon (mom & dad) we’re surprised to discovered that they were going to have another baby, what a surprise and blessing! Megan was not supposed to be able to have another child but God never makes a mistake! They have two other children a son Rylan (11) and a daughter Madilyn (5) who prays everyday for her baby brother to hurry and get here! Megan’s pregnancy according to her doctor was the healthiest in his office at the time. Just a few days later the pregnancy wasn’t doing as well! Megan had begun to swell and King was not moving much (32 weeks). Test revealed that the baby’s cord was around his neck and that he was several weeks behind in growth. King’s vital signs wasn’t good neither. Megan’s Dr. T sent her to Erlanger to the high risk center. It was determined that she would stay there until the baby was born. The next few days were filled with a lot of emotions, tears, prayers and test. King was messing with the doctors even before he was born by squeezing his cord and making the alarms go off and the staff would come running! On May 19th (eight weeks early) King was delivered, weighing in at 3 pounds and 13.5 inches long! Due to Covid19 the Ronald McDonald House is closed so mom and dad are staying in a motel about two miles away. We are starting this page to try and relieve some of the financial stress for them so they can concentrate on being with the Champ at each opportunity and feeding. Champ is progressing ahead of schedule and is now off oxygen, IV was taken out, all His systems are working perfectly and he is only remaining in NICU for growth and we praise God for this! His little sisters prayers was answered, it was Gods plan. Several have asked us how they could help Ranon and Megan during this time, this is the easy way I now to do that. Prayers are the most important way you can help! They would never ask for help but I know they would be very thankful and appreciative of your love and prayers!
Thanks, Bobby, Cindy, Ranny, Rhonda and Jasmine
