Challenges aboard Cambodia placement
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Marnie
After completing a foundation year, I’m preparing to start my first year of Adult Nursing at the University of Wolverhampton. Before I begin, I’ve chosen to take part in a personal volunteer project in Cambodia with Challenges Abroad with few of my peers I met along the way, focused on community healthcare and education.
This isn’t just a trip — it’s something I’m doing from the heart. I chose this project because I want to give back. I’m passionate about helping others and believe everyone deserves access to basic health education and care, no matter where they live. This opportunity will help me grow into the kind of nurse I aspire to be — compassionate, culturally aware, and driven by purpose.
While in Cambodia, I’ll be:
• Supporting local healthcare initiatives
• Delivering health and hygiene education
• Working directly with communities to promote long-term wellness
I’m hoping to raise £500, which will go entirely towards:
• Supporting the FutureSense Foundation, the charity delivering long-term community support in Cambodia
• Project materials, health education resources, and activities and other essentials such a books, toys and fresh fruit & vegetables
I want to make it clear that none of the funds will be used for personal spending. Every penny raised will go directly toward the placement and the people we are there to support.
If you’re able to help — through a donation or simply sharing this campaign — I would be so grateful. This project is the first step in my journey to becoming the kind of nurse who makes a real difference.
Thank you for supporting me and the communities I hope to serve.
With love and gratitude,
Marnie
