#challengeaccepted fundraising against femicide

You may have seen or participated in the black and white selfies with the hashtag #challengeaccepted or #womensupportingwomen. I am raising funds for the next month for 4 organizations in Turkey directly supporting women and do legislative work against femicide.

Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence (İstanbul Sözleşmesi) has been keeping women alive in Turkey. The hashtag comes after debates about leaving the contract and for raising awareness to the untimely murder of Pinar Gültekin (up-right picture above) from the supporters of the contract.

Foundation for the Support of Women’s Work (Kadın Emeğini Değerlendirme Vakfı - KEDV) https://www.kedv.org.tr/
(KEDV is a civil society organization which aims to improve the economic situation of low-income women in Turkey and strengthen their leadership in local development.)

Stop the femicide platform http://www.kadincinayetlerinidurduracagiz.net
(The platform strives for stopping femicide and ensuring their protection from violence. It fights against all types women’s rights violations, starting with the violation right to life.)
