Challenge for change. #3 Let’s support our community!
No Booze, Big Steps & Paying It Forward - For a Cause That Means a Lot to Me!
I’m back for my third year of doing a personal challenge to raise funds and this year, it feels even more meaningful.
This time, I’m supporting the Whitsunday Suicide Prevention Network. This is a cause that hits close to home. Like so many others, I’ve seen the impact mental health struggles can have on the people we love. It’s a quiet battle that too many face alone, and that’s exactly why support, connection, and community matter so much.
This challenge is my way of giving back, raising awareness, and hopefully inspiring a few more acts of kindness along the way.
Previous years & what I’m taking on this time round:
Year 1: No alcohol (Dry July)
Year 2: No alcohol + 10,000 steps a day (RSPCA)
Year 3: Still booze-free and stepping it out - but now I’m adding something new: A minimum spend of $50 a week to pay it forward. Whether it’s covering coffee, helping a stranger, or just sparking a smile, it’s about spreading kindness and supporting something that matters - mental health and our community.
If you’re in a position to donate, follow along, or share the message, I’d truly appreciate it. Every bit helps, and together we can make a real difference in people’s lives. Let’s turn good intentions into real impact.
