Challenge 590
Are you able to support our charity run? We (Debbie Bucella, Freya Grainger, Grace Allison-Arnold, Laurie Cunningham, Leah Mitchell, Amy O'Loughlin) are raising money in aid of the brilliant ShelterBox Trust (more below and on their website https://www.shelterbox.org )
One shelterbox costs £590 so, collectively, we plan on running 590KM over the UK lockdown - that’s £1 per kilometre. We would be forever thankful if you would sponsor us, whether it’s for 1KM or more - every little helps!
ShelterBox Trust: ShelterBox is a disaster relief organisation that provides emergency shelter for families who have lost their home to disaster, enabling them to rebuild their lives. They customise their aid to suit the needs of each community, distributing life-changing and life-saving equipment.
It costs £590 to buy one family a Shelterbox . This consists of a tent, building tools, a cooking set, blankets, purification unit, solar lights, and mosquito nets.
We aim to raise enough to sponsor one shelter box, but would be delighted if we manage to go even further than that!
Amidst this most challenging of years we have been inspired by the brilliant feats of of many fundraisers to push ourselves to our limits and honour those who are having a far less fortunate 2020 than ourselves.
Help us through a month of muscle ache, won’t you?
