Greetings one and all, my name is Patricia and I am asking for support in aid of continuing my late son's legacy - Chad Alexander Leon Solomon aka Chad Alexander.

Chad was a professional dj, entrepreneur and youth leader.

My son passed away in September of 2020, to a very rare and aggressive form of Kidney cancer called Renal Medullary Carcinoma. Which almost exclusively affects young individuals with sickle cell trait or rarely, sickle cell disease.

During Chads battle he coined the Instagram page @bun_cancer. Chad used this platform to raise awareness of RMC and publicise symptoms as well as his diagnosis. He also networked with other individuals suffering from said disease.

Back in 2022, together with family and friends we curated 'Chad's Foundation', a fundraising platform. The aims of the foundation focus on four distinct areas (music & media Enterprising, Sports & child bereavement) plus raising awareness of RMC. These are celebrated and highlighted in an annual rotation.

This year's focus is Enterprising.

I am asking for support to continue this mission and give back to our nominated charities plus the community. This is due to lack of funds from one of our original sponsors. Each year we hold a family community funday as well as a Showcase in our local area. To which all proceeds are given to charity.

Chad leaves behind myself, two beautiful children, wife Anita, sister Camarra and so many beloved family & friends.

I personally want to express my heartfelt gratitude and thanks in advance. I feel as a parent it is my duty to continue my late son's legacy. Can I just take a moment to acknowledge all parents who have lost a child before them/ their time - it is incredibly hard but hold the faith.
