Chad's Chance

My name is Sara, and my good friend, Chad, deserves a second chance at creating a life worth living. 2020 was an awful year for an enormous number of people, and Chad was no exception. He also recently lost his car and thus his safety net to remain housed.

He lost his job in 2020 and his health has declined substantially since that time. At 52 he’s almost completely immobile without his trusty walker. My heart breaks for him as I know he could be so much more than he is.

He continues to struggle in life. He’s homeless now but carries an infectious smile to share with all. He had just decided to sell his car to help his situation. But his car was just towed and sold, out from under him, by the city citing it as an abandoned vehicle while Chad stayed with a friend during January and February. The person Chad entrusted to keep an eye on his car dropped the ball.

He’s devastated! Now, his well has run dry. Though, his hope for a better future lives on within his smile.

I hope we’re able to give him something more to smile about.
