Friends and Family,
As some of you may know Chad was injured this past Sunday at the fields. He unfortunately wasn't able to get out of the way of a line drive and was hit in the head while pitching. The damage was significant enough to keep him in the ICU for 3 nights. He experienced bleeding in the brain and swelling from the very beginning, but his health is moving in the right direction now. These types of head injuries require lots of monitoring, and at any time can take a turn for good or bad. We are hopeful that he will be moved into general care today, Wednesday, where he can start the road to a long recovery.
While we are incredibly thankful that he has been able to come this far, and that surgery has not been required, he will have to take it easy for a while while he recovers. The doctors are predicting a month off work as of Tuesday, but this should all be confirmed sometime this week.
This incident has caused some hardships for his family that we were prepared for and some we were not as they both have missed almost a week of work already. Chad and Jenna will need to find the means to take care of living costs, Kai & Naya's school tuition, and Medical Bills all while getting used to a new "normal' for Chad.
If there is any way you can help them out during this difficult time it would be a blessing. All support will be given directly to the Foster Family. There are some meal trains set up and lots of friends helping with the kids. So, if you would like to help in other ways please reach out.
Thank you & Love you All
