My wife was hospitalized because of a one time anxiety crisis. She took our autistic 3 year old son with her as she went there. I wasn't at home. I was at work and I made the bad decision of finishing my shift, afraid of being labeled an unreliable employee, because of having called off because of knee pain a week before. I went to the hospital afterwards. My sister in law went in my stead while I was at work but she couldn't take our son with her.

When I got to the hospital I compounded my stupidity by arguing with the doctor about staying home to take care of my 3 year old autistic son while my wife was hospitalized. I told this doctor that as a substitute teacher I don't get anything like paid days off for family emergencies. So how do I pay rent and everything else, while I'm at home with my son? The doctor didn't want to understand me. Admittedly I should've kept my mouth shut, but I kept arguing. She then called CPS.

CPS then built a case against us after I shared too much with social workers concerning my wife’s mental health crisis (which was a one time incident)and who I made the mistake of thinking they were there to help people in need. Instead of helping us they took everything I told them along with what my in-laws said, twisted it, turned it upside down, embellished, misquoted, misconstrued, fabricated outright falsehoods, to the point that I now associate the word social worker with lies, deceit, cynism and just everything that is bad in human nature. We've jumped through all the CPS hoops by taking counseling and parenting classes but still they withhold our child from us. My wife is fine in every regard mentally. She's completely recovered.

The only way to fight CPS and their falsehoods was to get a lawyer for my wife because her public defender was on the side of the system.

I've now taken out thousands in loans and credit cards that I don't even know how I'm going to pay. My wife's lawyer is asking for $2000.00 to go to court with her on the 9th of February. We need the money before that date. Otherwise they may not even appear in court for us. All the money we paid them before is used up because they charge for every appearance, every email, supeana, and anything else.

There's also our basic living expenses which I'm not sure if we're going to be able to keep up with as I continue to be the only source of income. My wife is applying for work but so far nobody's called her.

We're in dire need of help in every way financially and we need to get our child back. We don't want him to be absorbed by this monster of a system.
