Hi All

I know this may come as a shock to many.

This is the hardest thing we as a family are ever going to have to do in our lives. We never thought we would be in the position where we would be reaching out for others for help.

However, our funny, caring, supportive, bubbly, honest and beautiful Mum, Suzy, aged just 48 years old has just been diagnosed with terminal cancer and has been given a very short time left to be with us.

The pain we feel as a family is just unimaginable and our mum is one of the most selfless people we have ever known, in her life she has reached out and helped so many people it is truly unbelievable and inspiring, she has been a shoulder, a second mother to those in need, provided financial, emotional and a roof to others less fortunate than her.

As well as being the best Mum we can imagine to us 3 girls and her son. She is also the most loving wife and nan to her beautiful grandchildren that she idolises.

Suzy works as a carer within the community providing care to many in their own homes, that she put her heart and soul into, enriching the lives of every single person she visited.

Suzy is a well-loved character within her home village of Porthleven and amongst her friends and family alike, this is so difficult for us to put into words, we truly are still in disbelief ourselves, but our Mum has done so much for others that we want her to try and achieve everything she may possibly want to do in the short time she has left.

Suzy would love to have a family holiday of her dreams for her and her whole family to enjoy but due to the circumstances it simply is not achievable as she has been unable to work and the finances that she does have she is using for her day to day living costs, as we said this is not something we thought we would ever have to do, but our Mum is so loved by many that I just know that everyone will help us help her live out every last dream she has and make her time with us as comfortable and happy as we can for her.
