Greetings, this is Elizabeth Sherlock; l moved to North Fort Myers in a mobile home community Old Bridge
Village in North Fort Myers. The mobile homes were 50 years old, paper-thin. It included a marina with boat slips on the Caloosahatchee River. Many of the homes faced the Caloosahatchee river. Our entire mobile home community does not exist anymore. The news reported that it will take 10 years to repair the area.
Many of our neighbors in our community died because they decided to ride out the hurricane, and we had a MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDER.
Totally beyond words, terrified, I grabbed my car keys and parakeet only and fled to save my life.
I fled to Boyton Beach, where I originally lived before I moved to Ft Meyers, Lee county. Since evacuation, I have been living in a mote.
My home and everything in it was destroyed. I need to find a place to live.
I would be extremely grateful!
Thank you above and beyond,
Elizabeth Sherlock
