I'm running The Mustang Trail Race in Nepal in April 2026. The race is an 8 day multi stage race over 170 kilometres with 8500 metres of ascent and run between 2900 and 4300 metres.
I am using the opportunity to raise money for two organisations and ideally would like to split the money equally so if you don't mind as well as donating to Everybody Counts can you also follow this link and donate to P.I.E.S
EVERYBODY COUNTS
Our family would like to share a little bit about Caitlin — and why this fundraiser means so much to us.
Caitlin Cushing is Andrew (Steve’s nephew) and Becky’s beautiful 13-year-old daughter. She was born with a rare genetic condition called KIF1A, which affects only a small number of children worldwide. For Caitlin, this means global developmental delay, significant physical and learning disabilities, visual impairment, diabetes and autism. Despite all of these challenges, she brings joy, laughter and light to everyone who knows her.
For families like ours, finding the right support is life-changing. And that’s why we are raising money for Everybody Counts, a small community-focused organisation that provides respite care, Saturday clubs and specialist activities for children and adults with complex needs. They have given Caitlin a safe, happy place to grow — and they give parents moments of rest that are truly invaluable.
Although Everybody Counts is a small organisation, the care they provide is extraordinary. But to continue offering this level of support, they urgently need new equipment: sensory lights to help calm and regulate children, a portable hoist, a compact stand aid, and an adult changing bed.
Every donation, big or small, helps children like Caitlin experience comfort, dignity and joy — and helps families breathe a little easier.
