The NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research data showed a 4.1% rise in domestic violence over a two-year period.
To make matters worse, the Covid-19 social isolation and stay-at-home measures significantly reduced victims’ options and ability to seek help. Australian experts fear coronavirus spike in domestic abuse.
How exactly will the fund be used and distributed?
All money raised (minus Go Fund me fees) will be given directly to the family. No intermediaries or organizations are involved.
Depending on how much is raised, your donation will help the family buy groceries, clothing, school books and pay for utilities such as gas and electricity. It could potentially go towards furniture and a car for much-needed transport.

My name is Lisa Rubinstein, I live in Sydney, Australia, am a mother of two and an entrepreneur. My husband and I started Arnies Recon (www.arniesrecon.com) to provide free pick up and recycling of electronics to the community. In the course of our work, we found out about this woman. Her story was so heartbreaking that I decided to raise funds to see if we can help her get back on her feet.
