About The Coniston Foxhounds
The Coniston Foxhounds have been operating for 250years. They are a respected fell hound pack based in Cumbria. Historically, they served local farmers and landowners with vermin control. Today, they operate strictly within the law, following artificial scent trails and offering an enjoyable experience for their supporters and followers crossing the vast terrain that the Lake District fells have to offer.
Ongoing financial support is vital to ensure the well-being and upkeep of the hounds throughout the year. Funds raised from this circular will contribute towards essential costs such as food, kennel maintenance, and veterinary care—helping to preserve the integrity and future of the pack for the seasons to come.
The Young Supporters are a dedicated group of young individuals who actively fundraise in support of the Coniston Foxhounds. They have chosen to share the funds raised from this challenge with St Mary’s Hospice—a local charity close to their hearts. They believe that, at some point in life, many people may find themselves in need of the compassionate care and support the hospice provides.
About St Mary’s Hospice
St Mary’s Hospice in Ulverston provides compassionate care for people across South Cumbria with life-limiting illnesses. Their services include Hospice at Home, inpatient care, emotional support, and a Living Well Centre that helps patients stay active and independent.
The hospice relies on donations to fund around 80% of its services, making community support absolutely vital. Your contribution helps provide comfort, dignity, and support to patients and their families when they need it most.
If anyone would like to join in at any stage or attempt the whole circular please get in touch
