Supporting Traci's Journey

Hi, my name is Gail and I am raising funds for my friend, Traci Hale. Ms. Hale is a teacher of students with special needs at Shreve Island Elementary in Shreveport and has been facing considerable physical challenges for over two years. Traci calls it "Scooby Doo Legs" or SDL for short. The truth is there was not a specific confirmed diagnosis other than Upper Motor Neuron Disorder or Neurological Disorder until very recently. Traci has undergone numerous MRIs, CTs, and X-rays and yet she is determined to meet these challenges (and the new diagnosis of Spinocerebellar Ataxia or SCA2 ) with faith, not fear. Traci continues to live her life and face the challenges of mobility while at school and while out in the community with her students. She uses a cane or a walker in the classroom and while at school. Going into the community is an important part of the curriculum for her students with special needs. Traci needs a Mobility Scooter to accompany her students on field trips out in the community. With your help, we hope to support Traci by purchasing a Mobility Scooter to use while on field trips in the community with her students.
