Jane Barfield is a local native of Cordele Ga. "Miss Jane", as she is lovingly known by parents and children alike, made her career and life out of lovingly caring for many decades of children. She was a teacher an even an adopted Grandmother to many children at First Baptist Child Development Center.

Her family is heartbroken to announce that 'Miss Jane' has been diagnosed with untreatable lung and liver cancer. During this time we would like to honor our Mother, Grandmother and Sister by having a final fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Hospital. Miss Jane is a huge advocate not only for children but also St. Judes Children's Hospital. During her time teaching she raised money multiple times with her class through Trike-a-Thons. Many times she was the top fundraiser! Her love for children continues to this day. At 83 she can still tell the most beautiful and funny stories of her babies and parents.

We, as her family, would like to honor and allow others who love her the chance to do so while she is still with us. We are doing a WE LOVE MISS JANE fundraiser for ST. JUDES CHILDRENS HOSPITAL. It is her wish to do this one more time. Any and all donations will 100% be going to St. Jude to allow her to once again show her love for children. The money from this campaign automatically deposits to the St Jude non profit. We would greatly appreciate any donation or outpouring of love you could show her during this time.
