Our beautiful Linda passed away peacefully on the 27th December 2025, with family at her side.

Linda was having ongoing treatment for breast cancer, a difficult journey that started in 2011. She showed resilience and a determination, echoed by all that knew her, throughout this journey.

She continued to be the person she always had been and never once let the illness define her. This was evidenced by her desire to protect her loved ones from what she was going through. She showed how selfless she was wanting to avoid worry being placed on our shoulders and try her best to keep living life as normal whilst juggling appointments.

Her impact lives on in the family she loved, the home she made ours, the garden she made hers and the friends who smile over fond memories.

The family extend their heartfelt thanks to all the staff at the Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre at Harrogate District Hospital for the excellent care and attention they gave to Linda. They showed true care and compassion throughout Linda's treatment, in her final days and after her death.

Donations will go to Yorkshire Cancer Research, and any amount of contribution will help make an impact. Yorkshire Cancer Research funds lifesaving research to improve the prevention of cancer, ensure people receive the earliest possible diagnosis and bring the very best treatments to our region. They tackle local cancer issues to ensure everyone has the very best chance of living a long and healthy life.
