Celebrate the Literary Aviatrix with Propeller Art
Donation protected
I am Dr. Angie Griffin, a professor of aviation science at Texas A&M--Central Texas, and an avid Aviatrix Book Club volunteer and member. I invite everyone willing to donate to honor Liz Booker, the Literary Aviatrix.
Over the years, Liz has volunteered her time and money to support our book club. She has spent thousands of hours reading, weeding through, and choosing books. She has given her money to promote author connections at many events and conferences. She has given us a place to belong and deeply discusses female aviator literature, often leading to profound moments. She has touched our hearts with her endless energy, a gift to us all.
I have an idea to honor her. I know an artist, Andy Armstrong, who creates commemorative art out of propellers. They are high quality and very professionally designed. I have attached some examples of them below. He will give us a mockup, which I will attach here. I am thinking of a helicopter up top, the top background from Literary Aviatrix, and Liz's smiling face. First, I wanted to see if there was any interest. The budget is $2,000, ranging from $1,000 to $2,000.
The deadline for contributions is March 27, 2025. Thank you!
