Support Our Student Artists, Art Show Fundraiser
This fundraiser will remain active through May 10th, the date of our Student Art Show at the South Gate Museum & Gallery
I am a high school art teacher at STEAM Legacy High School, and on May 12th, my students will present their work in our annual Student Art Show, a celebration of their creativity, growth, and dedication.
This exhibition will feature a wide range of student artwork, including drawings, paintings, and sculptures, all developed through weeks of planning, sketching, and refinement. For many students, this will be their first time showcasing their work in a public setting, making this event a meaningful milestone for them and their families.
To make this experience even more special, I am organizing a recognition system to celebrate student effort, creativity, and artistic growth. Funds raised will go toward:
- Art supplies (sketchbooks and materials)
- Small snack packages for students during the event
While we are committed to creating a high-quality and meaningful event, there is currently no designated funding available to provide incentives or recognition for the students’ work. Many of these students have invested significant time, energy, and personal commitment into their artwork. often go beyond class expectations to develop their skills and express their ideas.
Providing even small forms of recognition can make a lasting impact. It reinforces their effort, builds confidence, and shows them that their creativity is valued beyond the classroom. Your support will help ensure that students are not only able to showcase their work but also feel seen, celebrated, and encouraged to continue pursuing their artistic growth.
Thank you for supporting the arts and uplifting young artists in our community.
With appreciation,
Benjamin Morado
