Celebrate Nowruz and Support Omid Foundation

Hello, Happy Spring!

March 15th at "Frankie's Downtown," restaurant and bar, we are celebrating Persian New Year (Norooz) in its basement!

There will be dancing, food, a live Persian music performance, karaoke, and more! The space is reserved just for us - expect a crazy-fun party all night.

Nowruz, meaning “new day” in Persian, is far more than just the start of a new year—it is an ancient celebration of life, rebirth, and the triumph of light over darkness. With roots extending back over 3,000 years to the era of Zoroastrianism, Nowruz heralds the arrival of spring and is celebrated on the day of the vernal equinox, usually March 20 or 21. Today, it unites diverse cultures across Iran, Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Balkans, and beyond, offering a rich tapestry of customs, traditions, and shared values.

The $50 ticket/person gets you four appetizers and $10 drink credit- with vegetarian options. Please pay as soon as possible.

Any additional food & drinks will have to be paid yourself.

The ticket also goes towards a $15 donation per person to the Omid Foundation.

Omid is a school, with locations around the Globe, specialized in providing education, development, and psychology services to marginalized young women coming from the Middle East. This is an apolitical charity with a heavy focus on women's rights, education, and psychology. The women they help (as young as 12), come from severe and traumatic abusive situations, frequently leaving them with little choices in life. Lead by Marjaneh Halati, PhD, it restores their sense of trust, heals wounds, and eventually pays for their university education.
