Here is a photo of me as a baby dyke with a guitar and my grandfather's hand with a cigarette. Who knew, I'd grow up to be a proper dyke with a guitar? Ah yes, it was me! I've never stopped, if at the very least, playing on my porch.

This year, my 60th birthday on June 28th, falls on Pride Sunday. It is also the 57th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, I live just a few blocks from the LGBTQ Center, and in an era when our people are being targeted, the LGBTQ community is in need more than ever. So, I've decided to raise some money for my local center which focuses on mental, physical and community health and well being.

I'm particularly drawn to recovery work as I've personally lost too many people to addiction and suicide. In this era of my life, I'm feeling those losses quite deeply.
