I’m Erika Alvarado, Marilyn’s stepmom and her father Michael Rodriguez’s girlfriend. I’m writing this on behalf of her father Michael Rodriguez. We tragically lost Marilyn in a car accident Friday, October 25th, 2024. She was just 18 years old and had been working at Dunkin’ Donuts. She had just gotten employee of the month in September and a 25-cent raise the same week she died. She went out to celebrate with a friend on October 25th and never made it back home. No parent ever expects to have to see their children go before they do and this has devastated her entire family, friends, co-workers, and Del Sol High School community. We created this for anyone who would like to participate in facilitating a proper send-off for our Marilyn. All donations are going towards funeral expenses and to help cover bills for her father that took time off work during this difficult time that was not covered by bereavement. The funds will go directly to Michael Rodriguez and I. Thank you for your support.
