For his birthday, instead of presents, I know Mahmood would love if you would support our favorite neighborhood cafe, Little Crepe Cafe.

Little Crepe Cafe is more than the best French creperie in town... business owners Jean Dany and Joselina are stewards of our community. They host events, including Friday night Poetry Open Mic, Wednesday chess, and countless other community events (including holiday parties, birthday parties, and memorials). They break out the drums to celebrate with Crescent Street on Halloween and are the most welcoming, creative, and caring neighbors we could ask for.

On a more personal note, when the cafe's older exhaust system (which they inherited along with the space) was found to be off-gassing into our driveway and we were smelling it even indoors, and the landlord refused to take care of the issue, Jean Dany and Joselina stepped in and replaced it themselves.

For so many reasons, Jean Dany and Joselina are a part of what makes our neighborhood so special, and Mahmood would be really excited to present them with a gift to take care of them as they have taken care of us.
